Rental Policy Facilities Usage It is understood by the Client that the use of the rented facility: 1. Must not conflict with the Museum’s mission. 2. Must not cause interference with the orderly functioning of the Museum or infringe upon the rights or privileges of others. 3. Must not promote hatred or discrimination against, or expose to contempt, any person or group of persons as applicable under legislation or law. 4. Must not directly or indirectly contravene provisions of any law, statute, regulation, by-law, enactment, policy, or otherwise of Canada, of the province where the event is being held and of the Museum. 5. Must only be used for the activities for which they have been agreed upon by both parties. The Museum reserves the right to request that any boisterous or nuisance persons be removed from the premises. Any sound levels from musical instruments or recorded music must be kept to a reasonable level. 6. The Client understands that the Museum’s prime mandate is the presentation of exhibitions, museum programming and museum maintenance. The Museum reserves the right to modify, at any given time, the museum spaces to accommodate new exhibition elements, programming or to make repairs to the facility or its grounds.
Cancellation Policy Cancellation In the event of cancellation, the Client must provide a written cancellation to the Museum’s Facility Rentals Department by email to banquets@warmuseum.ca or at the address below: Canadian Museum of History Facility Rentals 100 Laurier Street Gatineau QC K1A 0M8 Note: The Facility Rentals office is located at the Canadian Museum of History therefore all payments and cancellations must be sent to the Canadian Museum of History even if the event is taking place at the Canadian War Museum. The following policy shall apply: • 30% of the value of the signed contract is not refundable. • If cancellation is received less than (10 business days) before the date of your event, the total amount of the room rental and technical fees will be charged.
